About

So you’ll find a variety here.Technical speak, gear-head reviews, theology, observations, a rant or two. There’ll also be links just like every other blog you’ve come across, except none with such a diversity.

The name implies lore of foregone times where men of stature and creative design combined strength and skill to forge out the “meaningful” from raw materials. While the raw of my day involves microphones, cables, instruments, voices, mixers and such, hammered through transducers of acoustical reproduction, my one goal remains to be “meaningful” with the strength and stature that comes from His Spirit. Hopefully, to an audience of many who come together to seek the face of a God, who Himself measures hearts simply by being an audience of One.

I’m the Technical Director of The Glen Eyrie Conference Center, a ministry of The Navigators. A ministry who’s mission statement is simply …”to know Christ and make Him known”. The Glen is unique in many ways, but perhaps none more than being a castle, located right next to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, CO. We get the awesome privilege of hosting events that honor that mission statement. My job is to help make that happen with all things audio and visual. Done so with a “remain anonymous” ethic.

My personal history involves many aspects including pastoring, worship-leading, producing, editing, recording, wiring, focusing, reading, surfing, learning, breaking, fixing, arguing, ranting, complaining, repenting, changing, inspiring, watching a few things in my 25 plus years of “opportunity” in ministry. I’ll write from that perspective.
